Low to mid-range analogue systems

Article Abstract:

The Goldstar GSX is a mid-range analogue telephone system aimed at small business applications. The system is available either with four exchange lines and eight extensions or eight exchange lines and 16 extensions. It is easily upgradable by slotting additional cards into the system. Features include direct inward dialling and private networking over analogue lines. Other mid-range analogue telephone systems are evaluated.

Article Abstract:

The Alcatel 4200 Compact is a low- to mid-range digital telephone system that has a good range of features, particularly for users of ISDN. The system takes eight lines and 24 extensions, with ISDN features including terminal portability, call forward and DDI. Other features include 400 abbreviated dialling codes and external paging. Other low- to mid-range digital systems are evaluated.

Mini systems

Article Abstract:

The TSc i200 is a small ISDN home office system and is worth considering as a system with a high degree of functionality for home office or small business users. The digital system is available in 204 or 224 configuration and takes a Basic Rate Access ISDN line. Other mini systems, taking a maximum of three exchange lines, are evaluated.
