Handheld computers, otherwise known as personal digital assistants, are increasingly popular products, particularly in the US. Sales revenues for 1997 are expected to increase to 1,126 billion US dollars. Handheld computers are used by employees throughout the business world because they are cost-effective, convenient and reliable. However, they only have a small screen and work with a limited range of software.
