Article Abstract:

Coffee-cup lids enable the drivers to drink coffee while driving, and prevents spilling and cooling of coffee during transportation. Originating in 1960s, the lids initially were simple disks reinforced by concentric rings and gradually became perforated to drink on the move. Out of an array of lids, available in various designs and materials, three basic types are the simple vented model, lock-back and the gourmet. The lids by different companies, such as Macdonald's and Wendy's, bear their logos and are stamped with warnings of hot liquid inside and other instructions.

Article Abstract:

'In Business' is starting a series of reader surveys. This, first in the series, is a one-page questionnaire about the relationship which IN BUSINESS readers have with their accountants. Some of the questions include: how did you select your accountant, how large is the acounting firm, what types of services are provided, what are the yearly fees, and how could an accountant be more helpful to you. Information about the business completing the survey is requested, and the results of this survey will be included in a later issue.
