Sizing the sound: mini stereo systems are becoming increasingly popular

Article Abstract:

The key components in a good mini stereo system are the speakers, amplifier, tuner, CD player, and tape deck. Three systems offered the best sound reproduction. The Kenwood XD-550, priced at $699, offers the best speakers, amplifier and cassette deck. One problem is that the speaker vibration can make the CK skip. The Sony MHC-GR3, price at $599, has the best tuner. Its cassette deck reproduces high frequencies poorly. The Pioneer X-P270C has excellent remote control features but its cassette deck lacks Dolby noise reduction. Its price lists at $599.

Stero systems

Article Abstract:

Most people buying new stereo systems choose a package such as a midi- or mini-system because they are mostly easy to buy and install. Mini-systems are increasingly popular as buyers move away from records to cassettes and CDs. However, both systems seem to be needlessly complicated with features and buttons that may be used only infequently. A table giving the general advantages and disadvantages of several mini- and midi-systems is presented.

4-wheel-drive systems

Article Abstract:

Different technological innovations allow flexibility for 4-wheel-drive systems. The shift-on-the-fly traction system allows people to change their drive systems while moving rather than stop and have to change their drive system manually. Four-wheel drive is an expensive option.
