Super or not?

Article Abstract:

Car supermarkets represent a new way of purchasing a used car in the UK. They are usually on out-of-town sites and typically stock over 400 cars, which have usually been either hire or fleet vehicles. The consumer has the advantage of a broad choice, amongst which they are free to browse undisturbed by members of staff. Prices are usually cheaper than at dealerships, but car supermarkets do not engage in negotiation, so customers may be able to negotiate a better price with a dealer. Major car supermarkets include CarLand and Reg Vardy Motorzones.

Wheeler dealers

Article Abstract:

Some 25% of researchers would have no confidence in the automobile dealers' sales persons they spoke to during a survey carried out in the southeast, the Midlands and northwest of England, of major car company dealerships. Many researchers thought that the salespersons were uninterested in selling a car and not only gave unhelpful information and advice but in some cases did not provide written quotations for financial packages as required by the law.
