The good GP guide

Article Abstract:

GP practices in the UK now fulfill a very wide range of roles, and fundholding has had mixed results. This means that choosing the best doctor has become an increasingly complicated process. When choosing a doctor, it is important to consider the individual's requirements, such as proximity to the practice, and to seek information from sources such as neighbours and the Community Health Council. Before making a final decision, it is worth asking to meet the GP, although some practices may prefer potential patients to make an appointment with the practice manager.

Tough guide

Article Abstract:

Twenty pairs of jeans were tested for toughness. Fabric durability varies. Stone-washing, which softens denim and makes jeans less likely to shrink, weakens the fabric. Seam strength is also important. The toughest last twice as long as the weakest. The best jeans were Gap. Many fake Levi's are available, which have very poor workmanship. Genuine Levi seconds cost about 20-25 pounds sterling.

The good plant guide

Article Abstract:

Garden centres tend to offer the widest range of plants, and can be a very convenient place to shop. It is also worth considering buying from DIY superstores, plant centres or nurseries. The best retailers have well-informed staff and clearly care well for the plants. It is important to check the roots before buying a plant, and to ensure that there are no signs of vince weevil.
