When choosing a doctor, it is important to consider the individual's requirements, such as proximity to the practice, and to seek information from sources such as neighbours and the Community Health Council. Before making a final decision, it is worth asking to meet the GP, although some practices may prefer potential patients to make an appointment with the practice manager.

Twenty pairs of jeans were tested for toughness. Fabric durability varies. Stone-washing, which softens denim and makes jeans less likely to shrink, weakens the fabric. Seam strength is also important. The toughest last twice as long as the weakest. The best jeans were Gap. Many fake Levi's are available, which have very poor workmanship. Genuine Levi seconds cost about 20-25 pounds sterling.
