FRANCE: INSIDE TECHNOLOGIES LAUNCHES SMART&SECURE

Article Abstract:

Inside Technologies has lauched the intelligent labelling system Smart&Secure which has a built-in device capable of alerting a central control point of a theft. The card is the result of collaboration between Mikoh, American manufacturer of high technology labels, Intermec a specialist in automatic identification systems and Polyflex which is providing the "inlet". Smart&Secure combines the technology behind the theft proof tags of Mikoh & Inside Technologies' own PicoTag identification badges with built in radio transceivers. Inside Technologies expects Smart&Secure to be popular with companies involved in Supply Chain Management, stock control, postal tracking for high value parcels, and the pharmaceuticals industry.

France: A new line of cigars launched

Article Abstract:

The Manufacture Francaise des Cigares has invested in a second 20 square metre storage area in which cigars are place for a three-month maturation period. This investment was made in order to launch a new line named Allegro. After they mature, the cigars are packaged by hand in batches of 45 or 55 in mini-tobacco humidors, which are delivered to tobacconists.

FRANCE: OGEU'S WATER FOUNTAIN

The water fountain for automatic distributors of Pyrenea spring water for the Eaux Minerales d'Ogeu contains 18.9 litres of water and weighs 750 grams. This water fountain, developed by Semopac, is made of Makrolon polycarbonate resin supplied by the Bayer group. This packaging is practically shock-proof, can be reused 50 times and can be recycled.
