Bachelor's degree in atmospheric science (adopted by the council 10 January 1999)

Article Abstract:

A statement by the American Meteorological Society specifying the minimum curricular requirements, faculty size and facility availability for an undergraduate degree program in atmospheric science is presented. Its goal is to provide a guideline for colleges and universities so that students are given a fundamental background in atmospheric science and related sciences and mathematics. The curricular program stated is slightly different from the requirements for employment as a meteorologist of the federal government.
