Discussion on deflection versus reflection of sediment gravity flows in the late Llandovery Rhuddnant grits turbidite system, Welsh Basin

Article Abstract:

An analysis on deflection versus reflection of sediment gravity flows in the late Llandovery Rhuddnant Grits turbidite system, Welsh Basin, provides much needed information on transport directions found within the Welsh Silurian Basin. However, how the Coriolis effect affected these transport directions remains uncertain. This does not discount the possibility of the Coriolis force having an effect on transport directions since it could be one of the many forces behind this phenomenon.

Discussion on excavations at the Lower Palaeolithic site at East Farm, Barnham, Suffolk, 1989-1992

Article Abstract:

A recent multi-disciplinary study provides important information on the Lower Paleolithic site at East Farm, Barnham, in Suffolk, England. The study dates the site's temperate silt and clay to Stage 11 of the global marine Quaternary stratigraphy based on Oxygen Isotope Stages. However, further research on the date is needed as a discrepancy may have resulted because amino-acid analysis was used to date mollusc shells from the site.
