On the search for the correct economic assessment method

Article Abstract:

There are several economic methods to choose from in assessing the economic effects of climate change on human society. One of these is the Future Agricultural Resources Model or FARM. This method employs the decision duplication technique and falls under the category of being a structural method. The decision problem of the economic agent is duplicated and its economic structural relations are specified rather than estimated. Forecasts based on this method may only be accurate when applied to short term events and changes and not on the long term.

Universal pattern of changes - on what spatial scale? comment on H.S. Kheshgi, M.E. Schlesinger and A.G. Lapenis

Article Abstract:

The reported inconsistencies on a study regarding the universal pattern of changes based on the reconstruction of the climate in the mid-Holocene seems to be erroneous. The reasons for such are overestimation of the Holocene reconstruction errors are unavoidable, the computation of the degrees of freedom of the spatial scale does not contradict with that of the study, and a bias reconstruction cannot be excluded and was relatively small.
