Phosphatized soft tissues in bivalves from the Portland Roach of Dorset (Upper Jurassic)

Article Abstract:

Studies of the preserved phosphatized soft tissues present in the trigoniids from Portland Roach of Dorset indicate the presence of these tissues in dead bivalves with closed valves. The accumulation of phosphorus in such bivalves leads to soft tissue decay and subsequent deposition of apatite. This soft tissue phosphatization occurs only in the presence of specific taxons.

Designer nihilism: fear and loathing have become as fashionable as Doc Martens and Matsuda

Article Abstract:

The trendy new nihilism is sensationalism for itself and not a philosophy as the old nihilism of such as de Sade strove to be. Calculated grossness and negative nastiness get raves at the boxoffice and exposure in the media. Cow guts is now art and self-promotion and materialism are cornerstones of the way.
