Article Abstract:

P.K. Swart and J. Leder failed to consider that the systematic isotopic differences in all of the data pairs are not most likely due to sampling errors, when they claimed that the conclusion of Ivan Gill et al in the article 'Corals, paleotemperature records, and the aragonite-calcite transformation' was not properly supported by data. Laboratory results, did prove that aragonite was converted to calcite during drilling.

Article Abstract:

The magnetic anomaly of the gneisses near the center of the Vredefort impact crater are Archean gneisses and granulites with highly unusual petrophysical properties. In contrast to explanations supporting that these rocks were formed by thermal metamorphism, evidences suggest that formation of these rocks were impacts of the presence of recrystallized quartz and feldspar and the local development of granophyric veins.
