Redefining the tree of life
Article Abstract:
Molecular sequencing has made possible the study of phylogeny based on genetic relationships. Consequently, several phylogenetic theories are being proposed to explain the origin of life based on branching at molecular and cellular levels. These theories establish a new three-kingdom phylogenetic tree based on archaebacteria, eubacteria, and eukaryota. They likewise provide alternative explanations on the relationship between the procaryotic and eucaryotic organisms. These theories challenge the current five-kingdom phylogenetic tree.

The International Development Association (IDA) needs funding. IDA helps the poorest of the underdeveloped countries. IDA is an arm of the World Bank, and its programs work better than bilateral aid.
