Article Abstract:

The small business capital expenditure was compared with actual last three months and planned for next three months from January 1986 to December 2003. Capital spending plans surged nine points to 38 percent of all firms in December and the record low for the monthly surveys of 25 percent occurred in 2002.

Article Abstract:

Expenditure in the last 2 months in small firms from February 2003 rose two points with people purchasing more equipment, furniture and fixtures and building new facilities. However, in 2000 the capital spending was down by 6% from a high of 41% in 1999.

Article Abstract:

Reports of outlays in six months is presented that saw rise of two points to 61 percent of all firms following a three-point rise from July to August 2003. The capital outlays and actual capital expenditure for small business is presented.
