Small business capital outlays

Article Abstract:

A survey is conducted to find whether firms make any capital expenditure to improve or purchase equipments, buildings or land. The results indicate that 43 per cent acquired new equipment, 13 purchased furniture and fixture, 16 per cent expanded existing facilities and 6 percent built new facilities.

The details about the capital outlays, actual expenditure and the expenditure plans are detailed. Major expenses include vehicle purchase, purchase of new equipments reported by 21%, furniture, fixtures and expansion of, existing facilities, reported by 15% and 60% reported actual outlays.

Article Abstract:

The capital spending plans down by two points at 29 percent of all firms in 2003 is reported, which was 31 percent in the year 2001. The fall in the reports of actual outlays in the past six months by five points to 58 percent of all firms is highlighted.
