Comment on Kindt's paper

Article Abstract:

Professor Kindt's paper is seriously flawed as it fails to take into consideration the realities that have been previously displayed in earlier studies. The proposal to force the government to make gambling industries to pay for gambling's social costs is pointless as the government is one of the biggest beneficiaries of legal gambling.

Article Abstract:

Expensive lawsuits against the gambling industry, as suggested by Professor Kindt may encourage similar lawsuits against the corporate sector. Heavy taxation on such industries may be a better solution to protect citizens from indulging in gambling.
