New opportunities, niche markets for hotel/restaurant equipment

Article Abstract:

US commercial officers in Jerusalem have reported that the demand for hotel and restaurant equipment is expected to increase considerably because of the construction of new hotels in the areas of the Palestinian Authority (PA). The increase in new hotel rooms is fueled by the expected arrival of four million tourists who will participate in the Year 2000 celebrations. Most of the hotel and restaurant equipment used in the PA areas are from Europe, but Israeli equipment are also popular. US food service equipment firms are being encouraged to consider sales opportunities in the PA areas.
