In honor of Paul Krugman: winner of the John Bates Clark Medal

Article Abstract:

Economist Paul Krugman received the 1991 John Bates Clark Medal for his outstanding contributions to the field of economic theory development. Krugman earned BA and doctorate degrees from Yale University and MIT respectively. He worked as an asst professor, associate professor and as senior economist from 1977 to 1983. Krugman has established his reputation for his studies in intra-industry trade, strategic trade policy and economic geography.

In honor of David Card: winner of the John Bates Clark medal

Article Abstract:

John Bates Clark Medal 1995 recipient David Card has been a pioneer on issues that delve on public policy and the labor market. His work is characterized by unifying principles on economic science, focused on the use of statistical approaches in making inferences. Card's empirical contributions vary from employment determination and real wages enclave in collective bargaining agreements, to issues on minimum wage.

Article Abstract:

The character, works and research of Matthew Rabin, winner of John Bates Clark Medal is described. It is argued that Matthew Rabin was an important leader who showed economist how to begin the long task of making economic models more realistic and better.
