Inequality aversion, efficiency, and maximin preferences in simple distribution experiments: reply

Article Abstract:

Issues regarding a social preference models of equity (ERC) experiment are discussed. These include results of Bolton and Ockenfels' experiment, on how they tackled "willingness to pay" in order to get equality; and results of Fehr, Naef and Schmidt, on their claims of "relevance" of both efficiency motives and inequality aversion.

Article Abstract:

The arrangement between efficiency and equity motives is discussed along with the comparison of people's willingness to pay or to deviate from their interests. Support for efficiency is also examined, focusing on equitable source distribution.
