Article Abstract:

A review of the unemployment and job deficits by region in the United Kingdom is given. Research into how the labor market recovery has affected regional employment, particularly those positions of the least qualified is discussed.

Fundamental changes in the UK labour market

Article Abstract:

Research and analysis data for the labor market in the United Kingdom are given. In 1998, 2.3 million men of working age were classified as inactive economically, whereas, in 1978 there were only 400 thousand inactive men.
