Machinery that helps meet market demands

Article Abstract:

Factory automation is said by the industry to deserve a new look. The technology is now more mature and suppliers now see capabilities and failings of automated systems. Huge variations in popularity which robots have gone through over 20 years have disappeared. Automated systems can help manufacturers to meet market demands with shorter production runs, more design changes and mass customization. Expensive customizing operations can be placed at the end of the production line and the other operations can be automated to lower costs.
