Macroeconomic priorities

Article Abstract:

A study on the review of theory on better fiscal policies and its gains is analyzed. It is observed that there remain important gains in welcome from better fiscal policies. Considering the performance of United States over the past fifty years as a benchmark, the potential for welfare gains from better long-run, supply side policies exceeds by far the potential from further improvements in short-run demand management.

Progressive taxation and long-run growth

Article Abstract:

The correlation between tax policy and growth is analyzed. The effect of progressive decrease in tax with Tax Reform Act of 1986 on the long term growth in U.S. is discussed. The rise in per capital GDP growth because of this decrease in tax rates is highlighted.
