Marketing goods and services in the kingdom: the basics

Article Abstract:

Marketing of goods and services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become very competitive. The careless attitudes with regards to customer service and satisfaction in the 1980s no longer apply in the 1990s. Franchising is becoming more popular while direct marketing is not advisable. Licensing is an acceptable method for doing business but taxation must be carefully studied. Joint ventures are welcome but the Saudi partner must own at least 25%.
