Article Abstract:

Results of a survey conducted in November 2003 in the United States by the National Federation of Independent Business Owners (NFIB), based on questionnaires sent to its members, indicate increase in selling prices. Eighteen percent of the members reported increases in average selling prices while thirteen percent reported reductions whilst twenty percent planned hikes in price and three percent planned reductions, with insurance costs accounting for most of the price increases in the financial services industry.

Small business capital outlays

Article Abstract:

The tax bill being supportive of an increase in spending, all types of capital outlays were up in August 2003. The capital expenditure plans were reported by 32 percent of all firms.
