RussiaEs new policy of cooperation with international financial institutions

Article Abstract:

Russia is maintaining relations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in order to make use of the Funds and if foreign conditions deteriorate and the possibility of receiving IMF loans is not ruled out in the event of a sharp drop in prices for Russian exports. Russia's relations with international financial institutions suggests a number of conclusions which will improve relations with them and it also requires the establishment of new forms of cooperation with the Asian, African and Interamerican regional development banks.

Opening Pandora's box, or what awaits us in the World Trade Organization and how to join it

Article Abstract:

World Trade Organization's accession to Russia will provide an improved access to foreign market. This accession is however not favorable on many grounds as the output produced in large is non competitive on world market, majority of enterprises not mastering the new technology required to be competitive, lastly the country will face stronger foreign competition and will have to strive hard to protect themselves.

The political economy of Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization

Article Abstract:

Russia will have to pay a real price in acceding to the World Trade Organization, so that it can take part in technical procedures for the resolution of disputes and further negotiations over the future of the international trading system. After its accession Russia has to quantify the costs and benefits attached to the accession for its economy.
