The prospected expansion in the United States computer market of Fujitsu America, a subsidiary of Japan's biggest computer company, Fujitsu, is analyzed. The company aims to become a supplier of computer parts and peripherals to manufacturers of computers incompatible with IBM's. Fujitsu America may soon take over Amdahl, a California computer company. Greater European markets are also being sought.

The role of FGFs in the early development of vertebrate limbs

Article Abstract:

The role of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) proteins in limb formation is reviewed. An analysis of the process of limb bud formation, the signaling centers and the monitoring of outgrowth indicate the roles that FGFs play. The possible role that FGFs play as inducers of limb development is also discussed.
