Article Abstract:

The survey details of National Federation of Independent Business on small business economic trends show no changes in optimism index than in January. Trends in job creation in market, capital spending and inventories are discussed. The monthly wise trends of various issues like earnings, sales, prices, employment, inventories and credit conditions from 2000 to 2005 are illustrated. The questionnaire used for the survey is also presented.

Small Business: Interest rates

Article Abstract:

The seasonally adjusted net percent of owners reporting higher rates in January was minus 9 percent, with the rates still falling for many borrowers. The average interest rate on short-term loans is 6.8 percent with 38 percent of all firms reporting regular borrowing activity, up two points.
