Finding the wheat, leaving the chaff

Article Abstract:

The advent of the Internet and the World Wide Web has given patients access to medical information whenever they are diagnosed with an unusual ailment. But most patients cannot discriminate between sound medical facts and plain old fishwives' tales what they read on the Internet. Still, online medical information is useful when it helps patients correctly diagnose their ailments before seeing their doctors. Grading the kind of medical information available on the Internet is a good way to help patients know the authenticity of what they are reading.

Article Abstract:

The Swedish government, although hoping to better relations with the Soviet Union, is concerned about a report of a Russian violation of Sweden's territorial integrity. This incident may cause the Swedish government to increase the defense budget, although some reduction in combat strength is anticipated regardless. A high ranking Swedish minister is visiting Moscow, as scheduled.

Article Abstract:

Children should not be frightened of talking to strangers, for that is how we all meet most of our friends. Many parents, however, are so afraid of their children being harmed that they make the child fear new people. It is better to teach the child not to be indiscriminate.
