The scale and structure of informal employment in the Russian economy

Article Abstract:

Issues of the effects of informal employment on the quality of the labor force are becoming particularly pressing in Russia's current stage of economic development. Results show that the level of informal employment among young people up to age twenty is more than twice as high as the average for the whole population, and among those aged sixty to seventy-two, it is 70-90 percent higher.
