This report is a reply to the report given in the 2004 issue of the AER, an economic report. This is concerned with the replication experiments concerned with Hessians on which a few points argued upon are explained.

A four-part methodology for verifying the solution from a nonlinear solver that is to check the gradient, examine the trace, analyze the Hessian, and profile the likelihood is presented.
