Article Abstract:

Burkey Belser, owner of Washington, DC-based firm Greenfield Belser, believes that the nutritional food label mandated by the FDA has resulted in greater diet and health awareness among consumers. Telephone surveys conducted by the FDA showed that Americans have embraced the label to help make healthier food options. In fact, two years after the label's introduction in May 1994, the number of consumers using the information on the label has increased. The FDA teamed up with Greenfield Belser to design the label.

West German insurance company, Allianz Vericherung, will sell its stake in the British Eagle Star Insurance Group for a hefty profit. Allianz remains eager to enter the British insurance market, although no future plans have been revealed. In order to gain success, Allianz may have to become part of the London insurers' club.
