Market manipulation: a comprehensive study of stock pools

Article Abstract:

A study analyzing the stock pools of 1920s in United States, which were deemed as stock market manipulations, is presented. United States passed animanipulation rules to control such activity. However, in reality, these stock pools were informed trading rather than manipulations. Implications of this revelation for policy making are discussed.
