Best foot forward

Article Abstract:

An analysis of how college tutors can arrange and use virtual learning experiences such as field trips. A virtual field trip to the Lake District organised by Edward Anderson, a geography tutor at Bede College, is used as an example. Anderson, who developed the virtual field trip in response to increasingly strict health and safety regulations, argues that the students will probably get more out of the virtual trip than they would get out of a real trip as they will be able to get access to far more information about a site from the computer.
