Article Abstract:

South Asian dance techniques have traditionally been neglected in dance schools in the United Kingdom, however this is about to change as Shobana Jeyasingh, a Madras, India-born dancer, has begun to advise the London Contemporary Dance School on the content of a South Asian dance strand that will form part of the school's contemporary dance degree course from September 2004. Jeyasingh points out that students in other disciplines have been aware of the products of other cultures for a long time and the extent to which eurocentric teaching dominates in dance would not be acceptable in other subjects.

Marxist, yes, with a touch of bourgeoisie

Article Abstract:

Francis Fukuyama, intellectual and author of the book State Building, argues that it is weak, rather than strong, states that pose the greatest threat to global security, as it is in weak states that groups such as terrorists and drug smugglers thrive and that it from weak states that large numbers of indigent, and often diseased, migrants emanate. Fukuyama argues that if the West wants to combat these problems, then it is going to have to take part in state building exercises in order to strengthen once weak states.
