Bunny girls, clones and a comet

Article Abstract:

There has been growing media interest in scientific research and discoveries over recent years. Scientists are increasingly keen to secure media coverage of their work, as they realize the importance of ensuring that taxpayers, who ultimately fund scientific research, are aware of latest developments. There is a growing acceptance among scientists that the ability to secure funding is closely connected with the ability to communicate ideas. Journalists are seeking to benefit from people's growing interest in the world around them.

Some observers are concerned the market for graduates in the wine industry may decline as more people become interested in taking wine-making courses. Eight universities and colleges are offering degree or diploma courses in wine making and viticulture. A career in the wine industry is popular as employment prospects have been good and starting salaries high.
