Curry foreign favour, UK told

Article Abstract:

Academics in the UK have been warned that they must do more to adapt their teaching methods and courses to better suit the needs of international students if they are not to lose out in the global market for international students. It is claimed that universities and colleges in Canada and Australia have already done more than their UK counterparts, with Canada investing C$10 mil/yr for five years to target overseas students while Australia has experienced a 15% increase in international student enrolment.

No-confidence vote in v-c

Article Abstract:

Following months of staff dissatisfaction with senior management at Nottingham Trent University, a vote of no confidence in vice-chancellor Neil Gorman has been held. The vote was held as a result of a programme of major changes embarked upon by senior managers which have practical implications for academic and support staff, but who have not been consulted at any point about the changes.

Loughborough aims to gain global fame
