Generating ideas: Some strategies

Article Abstract:

The survival of all organizations is based on the ideas they implement, whether their mission is to invent a new innovative product or solve a perplexing problem. The seven ways that include invite everyone in the quest for ideas, involve customers in the process, involve customers in new ways and focus on the unarticulated needs of customers, in which the organizations are reinventing their idea factories are narrated by a leading innovation futurist.

Confessions of a paper-giving virgin

'Absolute secrecy corrupts absolutely'

The culture of fear during the Cold War and the current War on Terror is due to the cult of secrecy which exists as a tension between that which secrecy constrains and that which it allows. Frederick Hitz, former CIA Inspector General, wrote in his book The Great Game that 'Absolute secrecy corrupts absolutely'.
