Plan to save Cambridge's lucky strike

Article Abstract:

Cambridge University is seeking to resolve a dispute over a donation from BAT Industries, which the medical community at the university and other anti-smoking campaigners are opposed to. The 1.6 million pounds sterling donation is to fund a professorship in international relations, with the university to provide an additional sum of some 1 million pounds. The university is concerned that other multinationals could be deterred from making donations as a result of this dispute.
