'I felt very isolated', says stunned critic

Article Abstract:

A growing number of researchers are facing censure over studies which are critical of Labour policy and this raises fears about freedom. Professor Peter Tymms was publicly attacked in 1999 by then education secretary David Blunkett and the Prime Minister for his research which concluded that 11-year-olds who did the most homework performed least well in national tests.

Campus believers preach Genesis

Article Abstract:

The Royal Society and 66 other national science academies have called on teachers and parents to provide children with the facts on evolution as creationists make inroads in the UK. Lewis Wolpert, professor of anatomy at University College London, is worried that there are academics in science departments who are creationists.

Opinion-panel Research has polled 1,093 students to find their views on lecturers and found that they were considered disorganised, stuck-up and unclean and that they had terrible dress sense and illegible handwriting.
