Article Abstract:

A group of community leaders, executives and teachers have formed the International Partnership Network (IPN) to focus on enhancing the quality of pre-tertiary education. Article Abstract:

A visit to the university of Visva-Bharati at Santiniketan, near Calcutta, India, by the vice-chancellor of the University of Natal, South Africa, is described. The way in which the staff of Visva-Bharati have embraced and are living out the mission of the university's founder, Indian mystic and sage Tagore, is highlighted. The West seems spiritually bankrupt when compared to India where people are rich in things of the spirit, even if many are poor in material things.
