'It's no whitewash but it shows why we work here'

Article Abstract:

An examination of what happened when Bristol University allowed a BBC documentary crew in to see what really goes on behind the walls of an university. The resulting programme, "University Challenged: A Term in the Life of Bristol University", will be shown on BBC Four on 20 April 2004. Bristol decided to allow the crew in, despite the risks involved, as it believed the documentary would be a chance to defend its record on expanding participation.
