Rape charge dropped but row goes on

Article Abstract:

Duke University is being criticized for failing to protect its students accused of rape, although the charges were dropped later. The president of the University is asked to resign for suspending the members of the lacrosse team who were accused but later exonerated, and are believed to be victims of a racism ploy.

Women fail to tap patents vein

Article Abstract:

Researchers at Berkeley, Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have found that women in the sciences are awarded less than half the number of patents of male colleagues with equal experience. Women are mainly held back by a lack of an 'old girl's network' equivalent to that of men.

Fears over rise of US Christian colleges

Some US academics are becoming nervous about Patrick Henry College and Ave Maria University which both aim to inject Christian values into American education. Patrick Henry College will aim to produce future leaders based on the motto ' For Christ and for liberty'.
