Seek and ye shall find connections

Article Abstract:

The World Association for Educational Research (WAER) focused on the role of humanities in the next century at its 11th Congress, held in June 1993 in Jerusalem, Israel. The proceedings reflected an imbalance in the teaching of humanities, which need to place more emphasis on positive aspects of humanity, and construction as well as deconstruction, unity in addition to division. If positive aspects of humanity such as friendship are not emphasized, the future of the humanities is in doubt.
