Software for GP's surgeries

Article Abstract:

Imperial Cancer Research Fund's Advanced Computation Laboratory Director and Computer Scientist John Fox acknowledges many doctors have yet to be convinced of how computers can help them in more than record keeping activities. Doctors felt they were no longer in control of the interviews with their patients during a trial of a new software program, designed to help doctors with their consultations. Fox points out computers can allow the doctor to have access to a whole range of expertise to help them advise their patients.
