Aubrey de Grey, biogerontologist at Cambridge University, theorises that in 1000 years time the world could be populated with people currently aged 60. De Grey says the concept of ageing will become obsolete and if de Grey's strategy to delay death is a success, people will be forever suspended in a state of eternal youth, with 21st century diseases becoming history.
