Truth and dignity behind newspeak

Article Abstract:

The Freedom Forum Media Studies Center was established in 1985 as the top centre for media research in the US, and as such attracts the best students and academics. Around 200 apply each year and 15 to 20 are accepted on the basis of an application stating their achievements to date and the project they would do if accepted. A full year's salary is paid. The only stipulation is being a New York resident and attending the weekly seminars. The summer seminars have attracted ex-presidents and heads of all three networked news services. Funds are around $3 million a year and the center has exceeded all expectations.
