Article Abstract:

An ongoing campaign in the United States against academic plagiarism appears to be spreading to the United Kingdom following the discovery by Harvard University undergraduate Tod Fine that Neil Winn, senior lecturer in European Studies at Leeds University, had copied the work of another scholar. Fine's research revealed that parts of a 1996 monograph written by Winn, entitled "European Crisis Management in the 1980s", were nearly identical to parts of a 1992 journal paper written by Steve Livingstone, associate professor of political science at Middle Tennessee State University.
