Welfare and poverty: the politics of victim groups

Article Abstract:

Liberal ideas on the politics of victimhood regarding the pervading issues of poverty and racism in American society are discussed. A detailed analysis suggests that the liberal view towards these issues should be abandoned in favor of a social policy that will alleviate victims' plights.

The politics of gender: affirmative action for women

Article Abstract:

Sexual discrimination in the workplace is examined in the light of women as workers. It is harder for women workers to achieve equality because the fruits of their labors are passed on to male and female recipients. Legal action towards sexual equality in labor is examined.

Reclaiming the vision: what should we do after affirmative action?

Public sentiment has turned against affirmative action programs. A variety of reasons for this trend include stagnating wages and a dislike of government over-regulation. Six new ways of achieving equal opportunity are presented.
