Article Abstract:

An analysis of the place of free speech and the pursuit of knowledge in university life. It is argued that campus activists, overwhelmingly from the Left, have taken over the academic community and universities to such an extent that any ideas that criticise their positions are sneered at, denounced and given no space.

Speaking out for the right to speak evil

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the responsibility of universities to protect freedom of speech from any encroachment by legislators. It is argued that the freedom to air one's views, even if they are offensive to others, is the ultimate test of a free society.
