The NRF (National Retail Federation) is setting up an online database called RLPIN (Retail Loss Prevention Intelligence Network) as high tech theft has been on the rise since 1997. To counter this issue retailer can opt for security measures such as reward employees for information, better employee and inventory monitoring, internal reward systems, and private investigation teams.
